Diplomatic Relations With the US
In the Middle East, the United States and the UAE are allies. Both have been impacted by the Cold War. While some countries have no diplomatic ties with the US, many of the former Communist-bloc states have forged close ties with the US through NATO and the European Union. In the past, Egypt and the UAE cut diplomatic ties with the United States. However, in recent years, these ties have improved. In fact, more US Navy ships dock in UAE ports than in any other country.

In addition, the two countries have signed an agreement to establish a trade and investment forum to foster greater trade and investment. This forum will help in promoting economic development, anti-corruption efforts, and humanitarian aid.
